A Study for the Dementia Behaviors

Abstract
|
|
|
The objects of this study was to analize the behaviors of dementia patients. The data collected by the communication reports with dementia patients from the nursing students.
The results are as below.
1. The subjects were 21 dementia patients, 20 were women, only one was man. The average age was 78.6, the range was from 67 to 91. 16 person(76.2%) were Alzheimers type, 5 person(23.8%) were vascular disease type.
2. The behaviors types were mostly psychological types(i 18), the other physical types were few(7). The psychological types were memory loss(39), difficult communication(20), and delusion(18). The physical types were incontinence(3), difficult walking(4), hearing sense loss(1), difficult to eat(1) and insomnia(1).
The conclusion was the behaviors of dementia were most psychological.
